The goal of I Want to Know Jesus
The goal of this blog, titled “I Want to Know Jesus,” is to introduce my best friend, Jesus Christ. To that end, I share how God the Father restores my heart each day through His beloved Son, Jesus Christ, and guides me toward a life of peace and purpose.
These reflections arise from biblical exegesis, seeking to know the man named Jesus of Nazareth. I believe that He is the Son of the one living God, and He helps me each day to understand the purpose of my life and how I can love Him by keeping His commandments.
Jesus of Nazareth said in John 14:27 KJVAE ‘[27] Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. ‘
The Holy Spirit helps me if I want to know Jesus
Jesus Christ promised that the Father in heaven would send his Holy Spirit to teach us all things and remind us of everything he has told us in John 14:26 KJVAE ‘[26] But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.’
Knowing Jesus of Nazareth can help us overcome any thought that robs us of our joy. It can cleanse our hearts and make us new people; if we read the Bible with humility and seek Him with a humble, contrite heart—willing to acknowledge God’s greatness over all places, times, and forms of matter—we will attain the fullness of life.
