Jesus Christ can deliver us from all emotional harm. Let us draw near to Him to receive the healing that only His Holy Spirit can give us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Observation &#8211;<\/strong> What does the text say?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In these texts, the author discusses the relationship between Jesus Christ, Abraham, and David. Viewed through the lens of human history, these three names represent the fulfillment of three promises God made to bless all the families of the earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">God fulfilled the promise He made to Abraham to bless all the families of the earth in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/GEN.12.3.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Genesis 12:3<\/a> and then, to establish the house and kingdom of David forever and firmly established in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/2SA.7.16.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2 Samuel 7:16<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/1CH.17.11-14.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1 Chronicles 17:11-14<\/a> with the incarnation of Jesus Christ (that is, when Jesus of Nazareth became man).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The genealogical order of Jesus Christ as a supplement to verses 1\u201317 of the first chapter of Matthew.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Isaac<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/GEN.21.2.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Genesis 21:2<\/a>,&#8217; For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. &#8216;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Jacob<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/GEN.25.26.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Genesis 25:26<\/a>, &#8216;And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau&#8217;s heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them. &#8216;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Judah<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/GEN.29.35.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Genesis 29:35<\/a> &#8216;And she conceived again, and bare a son; and she said, Now will I praise the Lord: therefore she called his name Judah; and left bearing.&#8217;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pharez<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/GEN.38.27-29.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Genesis 38:27-29<\/a> &#8216;And it came to pass in the time of her travail, that, behold, twins were in her womb. And it came to pass, when she travailed, that the one put out his hand: and the midwife took and bound upon his hand a scarlet thread, saying, This came out first. And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out: and she said, How hast thou broken forth? this breach be upon thee: therefore his name was called Pharez. &#8216;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hezron<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/RUT.4.18.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ruth 4:18<\/a> &#8216;Now these are the generations of Pharez: Pharez begat Hezron, &#8216;; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/1CH.2.5.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1 Chronicles 2:5<\/a> &#8216;The sons of Pharez; Hezron, and Hamul. &#8216;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Obed, Jesse y David<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/RUT.4.22.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ruth 4:22<\/a> &#8216;and Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David.&#8217;; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/1SA.16.1.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1 Samuel 16:1<\/a> &#8216;And the Lord said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Beth\u00b4lehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons. &#8216;; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/1SA.17.12.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1 Samuel 17:12<\/a> &#8216;Now David was the son of that Eph\u00b4rathite of Beth\u2013lehem\u2013judah, whose name was Jesse; and he had eight sons: and the man went among men for an old man in the days of Saul. &#8216; ; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/1CH.2.15.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1 Chronicles 2:15<\/a> &#8216;Ozem the sixth, David the seventh: &#8216;; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/1CH.12.18.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1 Chronicles 12:18<\/a> &#8216;Then the spirit came upon Ama\u00b4sai, who was chief of the captains, and he said, Thine are we, David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto thee, and peace be to thine helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band. &#8216;;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Solomon<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/1CH.3.5.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1 Chronicles 3:5<\/a> &#8216; And these were born unto him in Jerusalem; Shim\u00b4e-a, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon, four, of Bath\u2013shu\u00b4a the daughter of Am\u00b4mi-el: &#8216;; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/1CH.3.10.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1 Chronicles 3:10<\/a> &#8216;And Solomon&#8217;s son was Rehobo\u00b4am, Abi\u00b4a his son, Asa his son, Jehosh\u00b4aphat his son, &#8216;; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/1CH.11.41.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1 Chronicles 11:41<\/a> &#8216;Uri\u00b4ah the Hittite, Zabad the son of Ah\u00b4lai, &#8216;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Jeconi\u2019ah<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/1CH.3.16.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1 Chronicles 3:16<\/a> &#8216;And the sons of Jehoi\u00b4akim; Jeconi\u00b4ah his son, Zedeki\u00b4ah his son. &#8216;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>She-al\u2019ti-el<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/EZR.3.2.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ezra 3:2<\/a> &#8216; Then stood up Jesh\u00b4u-a the son of Joz\u00b4adak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerub\u00b4babel the son of She-al\u00b4ti-el, and his brethren, and builded the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings thereon, as it is written in the law of Moses the man of God. &#8216;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/ACT.13.22-23.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Acts 13:22-23<\/a> podemos encontrar el siguiente texto: &#8216; And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will. Of this man&#8217;s seed hath God, according to his promise, raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus: &#8216; therefore, we understand that Jesus Christ is the great King of Jerusalem.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two books after in the gospel of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/LUK.1.31-33.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Luke 1:31-33<\/a> from Acts, is written &#8216; And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. &#8216;\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fulfilling what is written in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/ISA.9.7.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Isaiah 9:7<\/a> &#8216; Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. &#8216;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It also mentions four women with pasts marked by ruin\u2014Tamar, Rachab, Ruth, and Bathsheba\u2014in the genealogy of Jesus Christ, with the intention of showing us that Jesus Christ (our Messiah) came to restore the lives of us sinners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/MAT.1.17.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Matthew 1:17<\/a>, it mentions that there were 14 generations from Abraham to David, then another 14 generations from David to the exile of Israel in Babylon, and finally 14 generations from the exile to Christ (when Jesus Christ became man).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Elucidation \u2013<\/strong> What does it mean?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It means that God fulfilled the promise He made to Abraham to bless all the families of the earth in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/149\/GEN.12.3.RVR1960\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Genesis 12:3<\/a> and then to establish the house and kingdom of David forever and firmly in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/2SA.7.16.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2 Samuel 7:16<\/a> with the incarnation of Jesus Christ (that is, when Jesus of Nazareth was born on earth).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thus, Jesus Christ came to forgive our sins and bury them in the deepest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0uHnpjaj_AU&amp;list=RD0uHnpjaj_AU&amp;start_radio=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">depths of the sea<\/a>. He takes away our past life and gives us a new one, as long as we follow Him and love Him by keeping His commandments, as He says. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bible.com\/es\/bible\/547\/JHN.14.15.KJVAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">John 14:15<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In verse 17, where it refers to the 3 groups of 14 generations, I found, after searching on Google, an article titled \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/israelbiblicalstudies.com\/blog\/category\/jewish-studies\/opening-the-gospels-with-tanach-key-matthew\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Unlocking the Gospels with Tanach: Matthew<\/a>\u201d in the website of <a href=\"https:\/\/israelbiblicalstudies.com\/blog\/category\/jewish-studies\/opening-the-gospels-with-tanach-key-matthew\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Israel Institute of Biblical Studies<\/a> and the blog named: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vidanuevadigital.com\/blog\/que-dicen-los-numeros-en-la-biblia-pedro-barrado\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vida Nueva Digital<\/a> it is in Spanish, you can always use Google to translate it. In his Gospel, the author Matthew\u2014as a Jew would\u2014referred to the gematria value of King David\u2019s name, which is 14 based on its Hebrew consonants (\u05d3\u05d5\u05d3) (<em>dalet<\/em> + <em>vav<\/em> + <em>dalet<\/em>, or 4 + 6 + 4 = 14) . This serves to demonstrate that Jesus is the \u201cSon of David,\u201d a messianic title for the Son of God who was destined to establish David\u2019s kingdom eternally.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Application \u2013<\/strong> What does it mean for me?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For me, it means I can live with the confidence of believing that, through my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, my family and I can be blessed just as God promised Abraham. Furthermore, I can be part of the stable and eternal kingdom promised to David by our God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The heavenly kingdom that Jesus Christ offers us is one where we seek Him daily and ask for His help and for Him to teach us the Bible through the counsel of the Holy Spirit\u2014our Paraclete par excellence\u2014so that we may be with Him in paradise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How could I honor God while absorbing this meaning?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I can honor my God by believing in and accepting the blessing He offers me\u2014a spiritual covering accompanied by thoughts of blessing\u2014so that I may live eternally trusting in Him.
